Overview:
Responsible for leading and managing IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, especially those related to Transformation and Modernization. This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing projects within budget and time constraints while maintaining quality standards. Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are crucial as the Project Manager coordinates with cross-functional teams, manages resources, and navigates project challenges to deliver successful outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading project planning and implementation, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan, while managing project budget and resource allocation.
- Continuously monitoring and reporting on project progress to all stakeholders, utilizing tools to track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path, ensuring that project milestones are met and aligning project objectives with company goals.
- Facilitating team communication and collaboration across functional areas to ensure project success and organizational integration.
- Directing and overseeing project engineering and technical personnel, fostering a collaborative environment where each role contributes to project objectives.
- Implementing project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs as necessary, while managing the change request process and updating project documentation.
- Ensuring quality assurance processes are integrated into the project life cycle, meeting all regulatory, legal, and quality standards.
- Engaging in continuous learning and development in project management practices, staying abreast of new technologies and methodologies that may impact project outcomes.
- Other responsibilities as necessary.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, essential for planning and executing projects effectively.
- Expertise in digital transformation strategies and how they impact business models and processes, enabling successful integration of new technologies.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, crucial for guiding teams and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and team members.
- Proficiency in managing project budgets, resources, and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and foster collaboration across departments, enhancing project effectiveness.
- Skilled in risk management and problem-solving, capable of identifying and mitigating project risks to minimize impact on outcomes.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies, adapting project management approaches to fit dynamic project needs.
- Strong analytical skills, necessary for evaluating project data and making informed decisions to guide project direction.
- Knowledge of change management principles, aiding in the smooth transition and adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly beneficial, demonstrating a recognized level of expertise and commitment to the profession.
- This role requires a valid Illinois Driver’s License and the ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling items weighing up to 50lbs.
