Multiple-Choice Tested Titles with Keyboarding Assessment:
Wednesday 1:00 PM
Walk-in candidates may be accepted at the discretion of the testing center, if space is available; scheduled applicants will receive priority when testing. Unscheduled applicants (walk-ins) must have completed an online application prior to arrival or may complete an online application, in a Department of Personnel office, prior to the beginning of the testing session; allow at least 20 minutes.
DMV+ Job Testing Opportunities
The Secretary of State wants to make it easier for you to be considered for employment at your nearby DMV locations. Certain public service positions in these facilities require an applicant to take and pass a written, multiple-choice test. The Office will offer job testing opportunities at select DMV facilities as listed below. We hope that offering testing at these locations, as well as the Secretary of State Personnel Offices in Chicago and Springfield, will make it easier for people who want to work for our Office.

Testing is by appointment ONLY*. All appointments MUST be made within 48 hours of the scheduled test date (No walk-ins accepted). Please call for available dates and to schedule appointments.

The Office of the Illinois Secretary of State offers a variety job titles and responsibilities, available throughout the State of Illinois. Application must be made to a specific title. Most job titles will be available in Sangamon County and the Metro Chicago vicinity; a more limited selection of titles will be available outside of these areas. By participating in our application or qualification process, an applicant may gain eligibility to be considered for hire, in a title, for an extended period of time.
